OUR BELIEFS
GOD: One Triune God: Father, Son, Holy Spirit; Who Is Creator and Redeemer.
JESUS: Born of a virgin; Divine and Human; Savior and Lord.
HOLY SPIRIT: The enabling Power of God to accomplish His tasks. The Spirit's power is
present to bring about life in creation, to enable Jesus to fulfill His mission, and
to enable all believers to become restored to the image of God.
Followers of Christ are encouraged to walk in the Spirit so as not to fulfill the
desires of our sinful nature.
BIBLE: God's Word, Truth; The guide for all believers in Christ to practice right living.
SIN: The inability of humans to do right according to God's character and moral standards.
Results in separation from God and life as He meant it to be.
SALVATION: From sin and death - To forgiveness and eternal life - Through repentance and
faith in Christ Jesus. The death of Jesus on the cross paid for our sins - His
sacrifice makes it possible for God to forgive and restore us.
CHURCH: God's people helping one another grow in Christ, doing God's work on earth,
proclaiming the good news of God's salvation to all people.
The Bible calls for our loving involvement with one another.
FUTURE HOPE: Christ Jesus will return to judge the wicked and rescue the righteous, raise
His people from the dead, and bringing about a new heaven and new earth
for believers.
OUR MISSION
Know and love God. Love others. Tell of Him
Based on Mathew 22:37-40 and 28:18-20, we believe the church should love God with all her being, love others as themselves, and make disciples of all people.
1. Because the Bible says we are to love God with our whole being and to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, We intend to offer opportunities to each believer each year for growing in prayer, Bible study, personal devotions, and such other spiritual disciplines that help us in knowing God more personally and deeply.
2. Because the Bible says that Christians are to be lovingly involved with one another, considering needs, helping one another, and serving one another with giftings God has given each one, we intend to provide opportunities, and encourage participation, for these Biblical relationships to grow, flourish, and reach out continually to minister to others.
3. Because the Bible says that every Christians is a witness of who Jesus is and what He has done for them, we intend to help equip all persons of the congregation to share their faith in an effective way with their community. Furthermore, because the Bible says to go into all the world and make disciples we intend to support missions by raising up missionaries to go, sending missionaries, and encouraging missionaries who are already going.
